Privacy Policy
Nova Card is published by NovaTech ("we", "us"), Beirut, Lebanon. This policy explains what happens to information when you use our app or this website. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal padding, because the honest summary is short.
The short version
The Nova Card app collects nothing. It has no user accounts, no servers of ours behind it, and no analytics or advertising code inside it. Everything you create — cards, photos, payment links, leads, notes — is written to your device's private storage and stays there. We cannot see it, retrieve it, or restore it for you.
This website is separate. If you send us a message using the contact form, that message is transmitted to our server so we can reply to you. That is the only place on this site where you give us information.
1. Information the app stores on your device
When you use Nova Card, the following is created and stored locally on your phone:
- Card content — names, job titles, company details, biography, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, websites, social handles, business hours, products and services, and any images or PDF files you attach.
- Payment configuration — the payment links, IBANs and account descriptions you choose to display. Nova Card never asks for and never stores card numbers, CVV codes, PINs, wallet passwords, bank credentials or one-time codes.
- Leads — the contact details other people enter into the capture form on your device, together with the timestamp at which they gave their consent, plus any tags, notes, statuses and reminders you add.
- Preferences — your chosen language, light or dark appearance, and whether the app lock is enabled.
This information is not transmitted to us or to anyone else by the app. It is included in your device's own backup only if your phone's operating system is configured to back up app data; that backup belongs to Apple or Google under their terms, not to us.
2. Information the app does not collect
- No account, email address or password is required or requested.
- No analytics, telemetry, usage statistics or crash reports are sent anywhere.
- No advertising identifiers are read, and the app contains no advertising code.
- No location tracking. If you enter an address on a card, that is text you typed, not a position we measured.
- No contact-list access. Nova Card does not read the contacts already on your phone.
3. Permissions the app requests, and why
- Notifications — only so your follow-up reminders can appear. Requested at the moment you set your first reminder, never at launch. Decline it and the app still works; the reminders simply won't alert you.
- Restart after reboot (Android) — so reminders you already set survive a phone restart.
- Photos, files and biometrics — accessed only through the operating system's own pickers and prompts, when you choose an image, attach a PDF, save an export, or unlock the app. Nova Card receives only the specific item you selected.
4. Payments
Nova Card does not process payments and is not a payment institution. When someone taps a payment button on your card, the app shows them the destination website and then opens it in their browser or in the provider's own app. The transaction takes place entirely between that person and the licensed provider — a bank, Whish Money, a neobank or a payment gateway — under that provider's own terms and privacy policy. We receive no payment data, no transaction records and no funds.
5. Leads and the consent you collect
When you use the lead capture feature, you are the party collecting another person's information; we are not. The app requires that person to give explicit consent before their details can be saved, and records when they did so. You are responsible for handling those details lawfully, for honouring any request to be deleted or corrected, and for complying with the data-protection rules that apply where you operate. The app gives you the tools — delete a lead, export the record — but the obligation is yours because we never receive the data.
6. This website
Contact form
When you submit the contact form we transmit the name, email address, phone number (if given) and message you typed to our server at services.novatechsai.com, so that we can reply. We use it for that purpose and nothing else: we do not add it to a marketing list, sell it, or share it with third parties. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records.
The form includes a hidden field that people never see. Automated spam scripts fill it in and are silently rejected. If you use assistive technology and the field is announced to you, leave it empty.
Storage and fonts
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. It stores one item in your browser's local storage — your chosen language — so the site opens in the same language next time. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers; Google may log the IP address of that request under its own privacy policy.
7. Sharing with others
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Because the app sends us nothing, there is nothing in it for us to share. For the website contact form, we may disclose a message only where we are legally required to, or where it is strictly necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.
8. Security
App data is protected by the operating system's own application sandbox, and you can add a Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint lock on top of it. Messages sent from this website travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection. No system is perfect, but keeping data on your device rather than on a server of ours removes the most common way personal information is lost at scale.
9. Children
Nova Card is a professional networking tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Your rights
For anything stored in the app, you already hold the controls: edit or delete any card or lead at any time, export a backup file, or uninstall the app to remove all of it from your device. Deleting the app deletes the data with it, and we cannot recover it afterwards.
For anything you have sent us through the contact form, write to [email protected] and ask for a copy, a correction, or deletion. We will respond within a reasonable time.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how information is handled — for example, when we introduce the optional public card pages described on our roadmap, which will involve a server for the first time — we will update this policy and change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this site before they take effect.
