FAQ
Questions worth asking
Does the person scanning my card need the app?
No. The QR code contains the contact itself, so their normal camera app recognises it and offers to save you. They don't need Nova Card, an account, or even an internet connection.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone, in the app's private storage. There is no Nova Card server holding your cards, contacts or leads — which also means you should export a backup file if you'd be upset to lose them.
Is Nova Card handling my payments?
No, and that's deliberate. The app stores a link to your licensed provider and opens it. Money moves between your customer and that provider; Nova Card never holds funds and never asks for card numbers, PINs or passwords.
What happens if I print a QR code and then change my number?
A printed code carries the details as they were when you printed it, so it won't update. Sharing the live code from your phone always shows current information. Permanent links that stay valid after edits are the next thing we're building.
Can I move everything to a new phone?
Yes. Export a backup file, move it across however you like, and restore it. Restoring merges rather than replaces, and importing the same file twice changes nothing.
Do you sell or share my contacts?
We never see them, so there is nothing to sell or share. The app collects no analytics and contains no advertising or tracking code.
